The live music at The Compasses has been going uninterrupted for almost ten years. It has gained a reputation as one of the 'best gigs' to go to for numerous reasons but most of all for the many top flight players that are often seen here.
There is no door charge, it is free entry every Friday night.

Make space and time to see this five piece band make their debut appearance at The Compasses. Locally based, various members made up the popular Guildford band, The Blazing Homesteads which appeared at virtually every single Guildford Music Festival. The Homesteads finally called it a day a few years ago and from those ashes rose 'The True Deceivers. A fine band comparable to The Levellers, The Oysterband, Fairport Convention and American counterparts such as Steve Earle.
